Federation of U.T. Employees and Workers, CITU and Various Associations Holds Rally in Support of Farmers Agitation

Chandigarh Dec. 08, 2020:- About 3 dozen various employees and workers organizations affiliated to the Federation of U.T. Employees and Workers Chandigarh, CITU Chandigarh, Board Corporation Mahasangh, Public Sector Undertakings and Pensioner Association held a rally and demonstration herein Brij Market, Sector 17, Chandigarh in support of Farmers Agitation against the 3 farm bills and against the Electricity Amendment Bill, 2020. The protest was presided by Raghbir Chand, (Federation), Kudeep Singh, (CITU), Dhian Singh (Electricity), Ram Swaroop (Pensionare Association), Gurdeep Singh (PB Board Corporation Mahasang) and Rajiv Sehgal, LIC.

While addressing the protest rally, Gopal Datt Joshi, General Secretary, Federation of U.T. Employees and Workers Chandigarh, Kudeep Singh, (CITU), Raghbir Chand, (Federation), Dhian Singh (Electricity), Ram Swaroop (Pensioner Association), Gurdeep Singh (PB Board Corporation Mahasang) and Rajiv Sehgal, LIC, Balbir Singh Musafir (Kisan Sabha). Kiranjeet Singh, Amrik Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Rajinder Katoch, Harkesh Chand, Bhim Sen, Manmohan Singh, H.S. Dhillon, Naginder Kumar, Dinesh Parsad, Kaminder Walia and other leaders of various organizations vehemently condemn and denounce the fastidious stand of Govt. of India against farmers who are agitating since last three months against the

·         Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion & Facilitation) Act, 2020.

·         Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020.

·         Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.

·         Electricity Amendment Bill, 2020.

The leaders further said that the farmers are peacefully agitating for withdrawl of all these three acts and proposed electricity bill and they are also pressing for strengthing MSP System by adding penal provision to it. The leaders condemn the brutal torture by some of State Government on the peaceful peasant march to Delhi and condemn the role of Govt. of India for their adamant attitude towards the demands of the farmers and strongly demanded to start negotiation and withdraw the three anti farm labor laws and proposed Electricity Bill, 2020. As these three acts and bill are not in favor of bone of India i.e. Farmers, Common People, Workers rather they will open up the doors of open loot of the assets held by the farmers as well as the assets of Pubic owned Electricity Sector by big business houses and monopolist.
