Chandigarh Oct. 06, 2020:- Moti Ram Senior Secondary Model School, Sector 27-A Chandigarh, organised Cleanliness Drive under Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat Abhiyaan Program on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The main purpose of this Abiyaan was to create awareness regarding cleanliness and it's benefit.
Due to pandemic situation, this year teachers were the essential part of the drive. Dr Seema Biji, Principal of the School and Headmisress Mrs. Ramandeep started the program by cleaning the corners of the playground. Then, the teachers followed the suit. Some picked the brooms and started the job, some did dusting of the rooms, some painted the walls. Not only this, the playgrounds were cleaned. After doing the job for two to three hours, all assembled in the school library keeping in the mind the social distancing, where Principal delivered the speech telling us the importance of sanitation. She also appreciated the sweepers of the school for their noble job. In the end, we all took oath of keeping our home, locality and city clean.
It was a unique experience for all of us. We need to cultivate the spirit of true citizenship with these activities and carry forward the true spirit of Swachh Bharat.
