Chandigarh August 04, 2020:-Fine Arts Club of Desh Bhagat University organized an online competition on Rakhi Making to celebrate the festival of Raksha Bandhan. Students participated with great zeal and zest in this creative competition and made colorful rakhis with a fusion of modern and traditional styles. More than 200 students created exquisite rakhis embellished with love for their brothers and shared pictures on online portal of DBU. Ms. Amrit Kaur, B.Sc. fashion technology, won the first prize , Ms. Kajal and Ms. Preety from B.Sc fashion technology won the 2nd and 3rd prize respectively.
Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts of all students.
Dr. Tejinder Kaur, Pro Chancellor DBU said that this day will always remain as the most important day in the life of all brothers and sisters. Raksha Bandhan is a known to be the most special occasion when bond between brothers and sisters is celebrated.
She wished everyone a blissful and contented Rakhi.
Dr. Shalini Gupta, Vice Chancellor, DBU applauded the commendable efforts of the students and said designs are very creative and fascinating.
Dr.Sandeep Singh, Vice President, Desh Bhagat University, said that DBU always put in efforts to nurture creativity and brings out the best in its students.
