Chandigarh July 22, 2020:-The festival of Teej was celebrated at Desh Bhagat Global School, Mandi Gobindgarh, online on 22nd July 2020 with great fervor and gaiety. The Students from class 1st to 12th participated in the celebrations.
They wore traditional dresses, recited 'bolian' (folk singing) while some of them even performed traditional dances and welcomed the month of Savan. Traditional food presentation was also done by the students.
Chairperson, Mrs. Tejinder Kaur said that it is a festival of happiness and good times and it is heartening to see the celebrations. Teej is one of the most widely celebrated festivals of Punjab. Swings, traditional songs and dancing are the unique features of Teej celebrations. This year due to COVID-19 outbreak all the festivities are being celebrated online however we look forward to meet the students soon. We wish for the good health of everyone and hope these tough times of COVID-19 outbreak will pass soon.
She appreciated the joint efforts of parents, teachers and students.

School Principal Mrs. Neha Dhall , said that the motto of organizing various cultural activities is to help students to relate and bond them with the culture.
