Chandigarh June 22, 2020:-At this time of pandemic, where we all bound to the four walls of our homes, MRA SR. SEC. MODEL SCHOOL, Sector 27A, Chandigarh participated online for International Yoga Day where the school physical instructor Anuradha Gupta and NCC ANO'S Sukhpal kaur and.Manoj Kalia demonstrated various asanas followed by Omkar chanting.
As we all know that since its inception in the year 2005, June 21st is celebrated as The International Day of Yoga all over the world. So, warm up exercises were taken and all the students and teachers performed sitting and standing asana, importance of these were explained simultaneously. Not only this, our NCC Cadets registered themselves through Google Forms to join online Yoga from home and performed various asanas with lot of zeal and enthusiasm.. Moreover, Shilpa Shetty's video on Yoga enticed our teachers and they enjoyed performing the same.
Not only this, Father's Day celebration was on the rocks and MRA students participated enthusiastically by sending their wishes and note of thanks for their fathers' by sending cards, short poems, letters and audio recording online.
Principal of the school Dr Seema Biji sent her best wishes and emphasised the importance and benefit of Yoga in our lives and motivated the students and parents to make it an important part of our life.
