Desh Bhagat University Becomes the 1st Private University in Punjab to Get 12(b) Status

Chandigarh June 20, 2020:- University Grants Commission conferred the 12(b) status to the University for its Excellent Academic Practices and now Desh Bhagat University has become eligible to receive central assistance & funds under the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) scheme. Desh Bhagat University is the 9th state private university in the country and only university in the state to have 12(B) status. 

Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor and Dr. Tejinder Kaur , Pro Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University congratulated staff members on this distinguished achievement and said that 12(b) status is a big leap that university has taken and proved that we are consistently marching towards our goal to become country's leading university in promoting academic and professional excellence.

Desh Bhagat University running programs in Agriculture Sciences, Airlines, Animation, Applied Sciences, Art & Craft and Fashion Technology, Ayurveda, Commerce, Computer Sciences, Education, Engineering, Hospitality and Tourism, Hotel Management, Languages, Law, Management, Media, Nursing, Performing Arts, Physical Education, Social Sciences. 12(b) status is another feather in DBU's cap.
