A donation box will be kept at selected Vodafone stores in Ambala, Bhiwani, Hisar, Jind, Karnal, Sonipat, Rewari, Panipat, Rohtak and Yamunagar between 13th January- 15th January 2019. People can walk-in these stores and generously donate woolens, clothes, toys and gadgets. In return sweets will be distributed among customers. The accumulated items will then be distributed among specially-abled people in collaboration with Sarthak Education Trust.
Talking on the occasion Sanjeev Govil, Business Head, Vodafone Idea, Haryana said that in this current world we have become accustomed to celebrate festivals in very materialistic fashion and leave out on the core value of the festival. What can be a better idea to share the spirit of Makar Sankranti by donating something with people who need it much more than us. Vodafone has always believed in the power of sharing and with this campaign we hope to inculcate the spirit of sharing among people this festive season.
Sarthak Educational Trust is a Civil Society Organization working for the mainstreaming of people suffering with disability through early intervention, inclusive education, skill development and employment generation.
