47th S.N Vohra’s All India Gurmit Memorial Hockey Tournament “A” Grade from Oct 07 to Oct 13

Chandigarh 06th October:- The 47^th edition of  S. N. Vohra's All India Gurmit Memorial Hockey Tournament  will be held  from  7^th Oct to 13^th Oct 2018 at Hockey Stadium, Sport Complex ,Sector -42, Chandigarh, The tournament which is organized by the Rock Rovers Hockey Club, an affiliated unit of Hockey Chandigarh  is one of the premier Hockey tournaments of Northern India  "A" Grade and, as in the previous years, leading teams from various parts of  the country are participating in it.   

The teams have been divided into four pools.  P&S Bank, Punjab Police, Indian Air force & PNB. have been seeded directly into the quarter finals.

The winners of the tournament will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000/- & the runners-up will get Rs. 60000/-. There will be cash awards for the four outstanding players of the tournament, goalkeeper, full back, half back & forward. Late Dr. BL Gupta trophy will also be awarded to the most disciplined team.  

On the opening day 7^th October, there will be two matches. The inaugural match will be played between Ropar Hawks & S.G.G.S Club, Chandigarh at 2:15 p.m. The second match between Hockey Patiala & Chandigarh XI will commence at 04:15 pm.
