U.T. Powermen Union Honors its Senior Vice President

Chandigarh 09th June:- Senior Vice President of U.T. Powermen Union Chandigarh Vijay Singh was Honored here at Bhakna Bhawan, Chandigarh today in a farewell function organized by the U.T. Powermen Union and Presented Award of Honor to him. The employees & officers of the department participated in the function in a massive way, Apart from them about 2 dozen employees organizations of U.T. Chandigarh participate in the function.

Vijay Singh joined the department on 1978 as daily wages and made work charge in 1981 and promoted as ALM in the year 1984 and further promoted as LM in the year 2011 and retired on 31.05.2018. He played a key role in building of mass movement in Chandigarh. Out of his 40 years service he contributed his valuable 38 years to the trade Union. He have actively participated in the union activity since the formation of U.T. Powermen union in the year 1982 and in the Federation from 1986. He works in Union on various key posts and presently functioning as senior vice president of U.T. Powermen Union and Federation. Union organized historic agitation on national level under his leadership against the privatization policy the Govt. Satpal President Chairman Reception Committee welcomes the participants and present Samman Patra to him. Union General Secretary Gopal Datt Joshi read the Samman Patra for his excellent work and achievements.

Farewell function was presided by Satapal President of the union and  addressed by Union General Secretary Gopal Datt Joshi, Joint Secretary, Dhian Singh, Secretary Amrik Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Pardeep Sharma, Raj Pal, Paramjit Singh, Daler Singh, Sulkhan Singh, Ranjit Singh, Pan Singh, Harinder Prasad,   and other leaders of the union besides various Trade Union Leaders of sister organizations amongst them Sarv Sh. Raghbir Chand President, federation, Com Ram Sarup President, Ujjagar Singh Mohai (U.T. Pensioners Association, Harpal Singh  (M.C. Water Supply), M. Subarmaniyam, Harkesh Chand (Horticulture), Rekha Sharma Behari Lal (ICCW), Bajinder Kumar (U.T. Horticulture), P. Kamraj (M.C. Road) besides Com. Kuldeep Singh President & Dinesh Prasad General Secretary  (CITU),  Com. Inderjeet Singh & Sajjan Singh  (CTU Punjab) and other leaders of sister organizations.

The leaders highlight the leadership qualities of Vijay Singh and presented memento on behalf their respective organizations.
