Punjab University Student Council Election: Chandigarh Police Deployes Anti-Gang Squad from Punjab & Haryana Police to Supervise Student Elections from Gangsters

Chandigarh 06th September:- Keeping in view of forthcoming Punjab University Student Council Election and various students' bodies in the affiliated colleges at Chandigarh i.e. Govt. College for boys, Sector-11, DAV College, Sector-10, SGGS College for Men, Sector-26, SGGS College for Women, Sector-26, S.D. College, Sector-32, Dev Samaj college for Women, Sector-45, Govt. College, Sector-46, Govt. College Commerce & Business, Sector-50, Chandigarh on 07.09.2017 at 09.30 AM and at the department of Evening Studies, Panjab University at 5.00 PM.

In this regards Chandigarh Police made adequate arrangements of law & order and also for the purpose of traffic regulation and traffic rules enforcement for conducting peacefully election without any inconvenience. About 991 police personnel from police stations/units, IRB & PCR were deployed for law & order duties including 8 DSPs and 26 Inspectors including SHOs, 869 Ors including lady police. All the DSPs will supervise all the arrangements at University, Colleges and Institutions. Chandigarh Traffic Police will also present in the field and remained vigilant throughout the day from the election point of view and to regulate the traffic smoothly.

Chandigarh Police has also deployed Anti-Gang Squad from Punjab Police & Haryana Police to supervise this student elections from gangster point of view.
