Chandigarh 01st July:- Zee TV's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, the biggest singing reality show of India is ruling the reality roost yet again with its mind-blowing talent and easy-going camaraderie amongst its entertaining mentors this season. The parent's special episode that will air on Sunday, 2nd July at 9 pm. had plenty of surprises in store for mentors Mika Singh, Pritam Chakraborty, Sajid-Wajid and contestants. While some of the mentors and contestants had their parents sending them video messages, others were delighted to have their parents drop in on the sets!
The parent's special started with quite a bang. Mentor Mika Singh, on behalf of renowned playback singer Udit Narayan, sang and dedicated his popular number 'Papa Khete Hai Bada Naam Karega' to his son the host of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Aditya Narayan. While both Aditya and Mika were singing on stage, Udit Narayan and his wife Deepa surprised their son by dropping in for this special episode.
Host Aditya who was happily surprised on seeing his parents said that today is one of the best moments of his life, He was missing you both a lot and see ... you are here. Thanks to Sa Re Ga Ma Pa for such a delightful surprise. Till now he has done more than 200 episodes, but he hasn't felt the way he is feeling today. Her mother has joined us today, despite her illness. he couldn't have asked for more.
While the spectacular performances by the contestants were in full swing, it was the mentors' turn to express their love for their parents. On being asked how much he misses his parents, Mika who's usually seen in great spirits all the time, went quiet and within seconds, tears flowed down his cheeks. Later, mentors Sajid- Wajid were in for a wonderful surprise. They were shown a small AV with a heartwarming message from their mother.
The video said, "My kids are my life, I love all my sons but Wajid is really close to me. Sajid shared that his mother is more attached to Wajid, in fact she loves him more than any of us. While our mother is our strength, we miss our father a lot, he was our superhero, and despite being uneducated, brought us up so well, that today, the whole world knows us.
While the Top 6 contestants were excited to perform for their mom and dad, the first to take to the stage was the rockstar of 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' - Kushal Paul, known for his style and swagger. Singing the popular number 'Nadan Parinde Ghar Aaja', Kushal devoted his performance to his mother. His mom who witnessed her son's live performance for the first time said that she is speechless and blessed to have a responsible kid like him." Versatile singer Sachin Kumar Valmikayan who became the highest vote scorer week after week presented 'Ode Chunariya'. His parents who were thrilled to be a part of their son's successful journey shared, "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has made our son's life, we'd heard about Mumbai being the city of dreams but never thought of visiting the city even in our wildest fantasies, but today Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has made the impossible possible." It was a proud moment, indeed, for all the parents, as their children racing past thousands and making it to the Top 6 of India's biggest singing reality show is no mean feat.
Other heartwarming performances that left everyone spellbound were by Rupali Jaaga who sang the title track of Baghban, Jyotica Tangri who sang the emotional number 'Chitti Na koi Sandesh' from 'Dushman' and Jugpreet Bajwa who sang the popular track 'Meri Maa'. Gear up for an episode that brings out just as many smiles as it draws tears.
