By 121 News

Chandigarh 21st June:- Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance, one of the leading private life insurers in the country, has launched the seventh season of the Junior Football Camp, the much-awaited annual talent hunt for aspiring school-level footballers. This camp provides young, talented footballers in India an opportunity to prove their mettle; the top five players get a once-in-a- lifetime opportunity to train in Germany's prestigious club FC Bayern Munich.

The youngsters from Punjab and Haryana will have to log on to the website http://www.joinjfc.in/ and register themselves. The online registration and participation campaign will run till July 20, 2016. Once the registration is completed, the candidate will have to play an online football quiz, post which a video needs to be submitted, showcasing his football talent. This video should not be more than a minute long and should not exceed 50 MB in size. 11 top players from the Online Participation campaign, chosen by a panel of coaches and ex-footballers, will be invited directly to the National Finale.

In all, 60 selected participants, including those shortlisted from schools and from the online trials, will vie for the top five spots in the National Finale in Pune on July 31. Standard Football rules will be followed throughout the matches. The top five junior footballers selected in the National Finale will travel to Munich for training by the world class coaches of FC Bayern Munich.

Subrat Mohanty, Head of Marketing, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance said that education and sports both play an important role in the development of a child and in nation building. Football is a life skill and is vital to the holistic development of young people, fostering their physical, social and emotional health. We started Junior Football Camp in 2010 with a dream of seeing Indian talent play under world renowned coaches at FC Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena and getting better at their game. Football is constantly evolving and we are glad to see its reach growing wider at the grassroot levels. The overwhelming response for the campaign during the past six years shows the enthusiasm and the best practices that have been put in. This year we will reach out to a larger number of people through our school and club contact program and an online campaign.

The Junior Football Camp is organized in association with Allianz SE, the official partner of FC Bayern Munich. The camp is held in Munich, Germany in the third week of August 2016 and gives teenagers from across the globe the opportunity to meet with and be trained by the legendary FC Bayern Munich coaches on the club's official training ground. They would also get a chance to attend a match at the Allianz Arena, the team's football stadium and meet football stars from FC Bayern Munich like Thomas Mueller among others.
