Chandigarh 20th May:- Under the aegis of Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi upshabha Chandigarh, C.L. Aggarwal DAV School organized the 3 days Vedic-Chetna Shivir in the school premises from May 18 to 20th May. Around 100 students and teachers from different schools participated in the Shivir. The Shivir was inaugurated by H.R. Ghandhar President of APP upsabha Chandigarh by performing Hawana and by principals of DAV schools. The objective of shivir was to inculcate moral values in students and to make them a better and a responsible citizen. In these 3 days Chetna Shivir many eminent speakers gave their valuable comments on Indian Culture and Heritage.
Chief guest H.R. Gandhar addressed the students emphasizing that how these moral values give a right path to our life. On second day Mr. & Mrs. Umesh Trehan was Yajman. Dr. K.S Arya took an interactive session on Vedic values. Students enjoy the facts told by Dr. Arya. Dr. Sunita Kaul will interact with the students through quiz and speeches and motivate the students to adopt healthy life style. On the closing Dr. Vibha Ray interacted with the students. Manager Vijay Kumar awarded the students with certificate and prizes.
School Principal Mrs. Sunita Ranyal said that we should feel proud that we are the part of D.A.V. which propagates such values to build a complete personality. She further said that the purpose to conduct these types of activities is to associate the students with our culture and Heritage.
The shivir concluded with the prize distribution ceremony today.
