Tiny Tots of CRB School Celebrates Baisakhi with Great Exuberance and Gaiety

Chandigarh 12th April:-The students of CRB Public School of Sector-7B, Chandigarh celebrated 'Baisakhi' with great exuberance and gaiety. Dhol beats and Punjabi folk music added excitement. The tiny tots of kindergarten in their traditional colorful attire performed Bhangra and the girls' performed giddha.

The Principal Mrs. Sangeeta Mittal in her address to the students conveyed her best wishes on 'Baisakhi' and also hinted upon its historical background of the foundation of Khalsa Panth. She told the students that Baisakhi has deep-rooted significance for Punjabis. April 13 marks the beginning of new samvat year, our Indian calendar begins from this day. Traditionally, the farmers start wheat harvesting on the day of Baisakhi. At night they all burst forth into a vigorous bhangra to celebrate. She urged kids to respect their culture and tradition as every country is known by its tradition.Sweets were distributed to the children by the Director, N.K. Mittal. The colourful celebration filled the atmosphere with musical notes.
