Chandigarh 09th April:- The Students of B.A. II Year (Honours) with Dr. Vibha Sharma, Head of the Department of Public Administration of MCM DAV College for Women organized an industrial visit to a Printing Press at Panchkula in order to familiarize the students with pre-printing graphics technology.
Tilak Raj Satija, Managing Director of the press, in an interaction with the students, provided an insight into various processes involved in pre-printing graphics and familiarized them with various job opportunities in the field. The students made the most of the visit by putting forth their queries regarding industrial finance, need of skill training for the workers, industrial pollution, infrastructure requirements, Govt. policies and labour related problems regarding industry which were answered to the satisfaction of the students by Tilak Raj Satija.
MCM Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava stressed upon the vitality of industrial visits in bridging the industry-academia gap and widening the horizons of the students by providing them an opportunity to interact with industry experts.
