Chandigarh 01st April:- The department of Physics at MCM DAV College for Women organized a workshop on Experimental Physics with a view to provide students hands on experience in conducting experiments.
In the presentation session, Prof. Arvind, Dean (R&D), Department of Physics, IISER, Mohali apprised the participants about the experiments based on electronics. This was followed by lecture on experiments based on Stefan's law by Dr. Paramadeep Singh, Scientific Officer, Department of Physics, IISER, Mohali talked about diffraction. During the demonstration session that ensued, the experts demonstrated the experiments which were explained in the first session. The students also got an opportunity to conduct various experiments.
Applauding the scientific temper of the department, Principal of MCM DAV College Dr. Nisha Bhargava said that correct exposure is a prerequisite in making students capable of facing the competitive world.
