Chandigarh 23rd March:- Shaheed Bhagat Singh Youth Club (Regd.), Mohali today took out a massive rally to commemorate the martyrdom day of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. Rich tributes were paid to the martyrs in the rally which was held under leadership of Jagdeep Singh 'Lucky', the president of club.
Gurjant Singh Puniya, Chairman of the Club, Rahul Saini, General Secretary, and MD Empire Estate and several other office bearers of the Club including Sonu Shah, Sonu Bajwa, Rajveer Rana Pehelwan, Bobby Bhangu, Girish Lucky, Surjit, etc. were also present.
While addressing the rally, Jagdeep Singh 'Lucky', Club President said that today while we celebrate our freedom, we must remember the role of martyrs who gave their lives during freedom struggle. We must walk on the path adopted by them." Singh added we must safeguard the principles they followed in their lives and we should never forget their supreme sacrifice.
The unique feature of the rally was the saffron colored turbans worn by all those who participated. They raised slogans hailing the martyrs as they went around different parts of Mohali. Special community langar were organized on the way and children also joined the rally by taking out tableaus in support of the martyrs. The rally took off from Phase 9 and passed from Phases 7, 3, and culminated in Phase 9 after passing through YPS Chowk.
