Chandigarh 19th March:- The students of Department of Music of MCM DAV College for Women were witness to an interesting amalgamation of Indian and French music during an interactive session with French rock band Le Pied de la Pompe.
The French artists were mesmerized by the showcase of the Indian style of singing as the students welcomed them with Saraswati Vandana. Visibly impressed by the wide array of Indian musical instruments, the members of the band utilized this opportunity to experience the depth and richness of Indian music traditions and to exchange ideas.
MCM Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava lauded this novel endeavour to promote Indian music as well as to create understanding of other forms of music. She reiterated that such beautiful exploration of various cultures is imperative for promoting cultural cohesion in the world.
