Chandigarh 18th March:- The young and vivacious Ankita Sharma, who rose to fame with her portrayal of the title role on Zee TV's period romance set against the partition - Lajwanti will be introduced in the upcoming track of the channel's primetime drama Yeh Vaada Raha. Ankita will be seen as Meher, the sister of a rich tycoon, quite eccentric and a complete spoilt brat.
Commenting on her role Ankita said that she is happy and excited to be back on ZEE TV, this time as Meher. It's in complete contrast with her previous character of Lajwanti and as Meher is a modern city girl, the look is also a complete departure. She is the sister of a rich Industralist, who also happens to be Karthik's boss. Unaware about Karthik's marital status, she falls in love with him. Meher is bold, spirited and even eccentric and temperamental. The character has loosely drawn inspiration from Kangana's role in the film Tanu Weds Manu Returns.'
After lots of hardships and ups and downs in their relationship, Karthik and Survi have decided to start their life afresh. Karthik hands over all his property to Taayi and moves back to the chawl to lead a simple life. Just when things start falling in place for them and it seems like all the evil forces have warded off, comes Meher.
