Chandigarh 15th March:- STAR Plus launched one of its grand romantic sagas, 'Dahleez' on-air last evening. Dahleez is a contemporary love story set against the backdrop of the power corridors of Delhi. The show explores the worlds of two interesting personalities. Swadheenta Ramakrishnan, an aspiring lawyer from a South-Indian middle class household and Adarsh Sinha, an idealistic IAS officer from a powerful and influential family. The show will highlight their different approaches towards the same cause. Adarsh has a clever tactic to fighting the evils of society; Swadheenta on the other hand is righteous and wants to help the poor. It is love at first sight for Adarsh but Swadheenta takes her own time to reciprocate. The show is supported by a stellar cast and powerhouses of talent which includes Meghna Malik, Amit Behl, Harshad Arora, Tridha Choudhury, Hunar Hale, Meer Ali and Aryan Pandit.
Keeping in mind the scale of the show, the makers have shot it entirely at real attractions in Delhi such as Jama Masjid, Khan Market, Sainik Farms in Chhatarpur, the iconic India Gate and other interesting locations. 'Jiya Re' the special romantic track created for the show has already gained immense popularity with over 2.2 Million views on social media. The track has been composed by the talented Superbia Band, sung by Jubin Nautiyal and penned by legendary lyricist Sameer Anjaan.
Meer Ali playing Jaydev Sinha, an obliged son Jaydev is unhappy with his married life as his wife (Jaya) was his mom's choice and as a perfect son he had to follow her choice. As an elder son he has always been obedient to the parents and is always a part of his father's political deals.
Hunar Hale playing Jaya Sinha, the eldest daughter in-law of the Sinha family, Jaya (Jaydev's wife), is an elite and educated woman with class. She is a loving human being with a heart of gold but lost in her own loveless marriage. She never lets anyone know about her situation and continues being the perfect daughter in law.
