New Public organizes Annual Prize Distribution Function

Chandigarh 19^th February:- The Annual Prize Distribution Function of the New Public School, Sector 18 Chandigarh was held today at School Premises. Principal, Mr. R.D Singh, presided over the ceremony. The commander of the school NCC unit, Master Sumit Verma welcomed the guests. Principal R.D. Singh gave away the trophies to the NCC cadets for their achievements. Anuj Vohra Associate NCC officer presented a trophy to the Principal on behalf of the IT Department for the school's NCC unit's performance at The Republic Day Parade. Merit Scholarships worth Rs. 18000/- were disbursed to the toppers of classes I to IX. Award of Excellence was conferred on eleven students for showing excellence in academics, sports and co-curricular activities.

Ishan of XII Science won the Award for Overall Excellence. Devansh Diwan of class X and Harshpreet of class XI were awarded Award for Honesty. The Best Sportsperson Award went to Master Amit of class X and the proud recipient of the Principal's Trophy was Master Mohit Kumar of XII Science.

Based on the Inter- House competitions, The Himalayan Trophy was lifted by Ravi House. The Junior School students too vied for the coveted Trophy by participating in a host of Inter-House Activities during the session 2015-16. The Blue House lifted the Trophy for overall Excellence.

The Function ended with a brief speech by the Principal. He congratulated the award winners and exhorted students to keep striving for excellence.
