Meeting Held for Evaluation and Continuation of Class A, B, C and D officials

Chandigarh 05^th January:- A meeting was held today, under the chairmanship of Vikram Dev Dutt, Secretary Personnel, Chandigarh Administration, with all the heads of the Departments, regarding the steps taken by them with regard to the evaluation and continuation of Class A, B, C and D officials on completion of 15, 20, 25, 30 & 35 years of service. It was discussed that the performance of officers/officials having completed 15, 20, 25, 30 & 35 years of service are required to be evaluated in a time bound manner and dead wood to be removed from the service.

The issue of Inter-Departmental transfer of the employees of the Chandigarh Administration was also taken up and heads of departments were asked to submit detailed reports on its employees working in each department, with details of their date of joining, date of promotion and date of posting at present seat. Department of personnel will be starting the transfer of the officials from different departments starting next week.

These steps are being taken on the same lines of Government of India for weeding out the non performers and corrupt officials from the government organizations and for prioritizing better service delivery to the citizens
