Chandigarh 25^th January:- &pictures, India's premium mass Hindi movie channel is all set to celebrate the country's 66^th Republic Day. The patriotic celebrations will kick start at 8 AM in the morning and will go on till 8 PM on Tuesday, 26^th January, 2016. This Republic Day will be a perfect blend of entertainment, patriotism and wholesome family viewing experience. Have a fun filled day with an exciting line-up of movies starting with Pardes followed by Commando – A One Man Army, No Problem, the television premiere of Shamitabh and the Oscar nominated movie Lagaan.

As a special offering on this occasion &pictures will premiere the R. Balki directed film, Shamitabh at 5 PM. Shamitabh features the stalwart of Hindi film industry, Amitabh Bachchan, along with eminent superstar from the South, Dhanush. The film narrates the story of Danish (Dhanush) who is a mute aspiring actor from a small village but with great acting talents. To pursue his dreams, Danish lands up in Mumbai where he meets assistant director Akshara Pandey (AksharaHaasan) who is impressed by his talent. In spite of their dual efforts, Danish is unable to get work in movies as he cannot speak. With the help of new technology using the voice of an outcast artist, Amitabh Sinha (Amitabh Bachchan),Akshara creates 'Shamitabh'.
