Cases for Condonation of Delay for the Registration of Marriages Be Forwarded to DC

Chandigarh 07^th January:- With regard to the appointment of Additional Chief Registrar Marriages and authorization of discharging the functions under Section 11(4) of the Haryana Compulsory Registration of Marriages Act, 2008 as extended to Union Territory, Chandigarh has been considered in consultation with the competent authority and appointment orders along with authorization of the above powers to the Deputy commissioner-cum-District Registrar Marriages, UT Chandigarh. Henceforth, all the cases for Condonation of delay beyond one year for the Registration of Marriages be forwarded to the Deputy commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Registrar Marriages, UT Chandigarh and no such case shall be forwarded to the Home Secretary-cum-Chief Registrar Marriages, Chandigarh Administration.
