Chandigarh 06th January:- Delhi's bylanes and wide roads have turned into sets for many a movie shoot recently, and the upsurge in film shoots in the capital is no coincidence. In recent years, at least half-a-dozen films based on Delhi have been released and several others have been shot extensively in the city. As a result, the city, perhaps for the first time, can now count actors, technicians and sundry specialists amongst its residents. MG10 production's BECHARE BIWI KE MARE adds to the list of Delhi films with many a first. MG 10 production is perhaps the only production house with soul and heart in Delhi, constituting of die-hard Indian cinema fans who have spent their formative years in the capital city. It's a city they know well and thus want to portray on screen. That's where the idea of BECHARE BIWI KE MARE sprung up.
Bechare Biwi ke Mare is a humorous representation of country's first Men Cell aka Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Husbands in Delhi. It portrays the life of men with marital woes, complaining of harassment by their wives. The film is a crusade for legislation for 'Protection of Rights and Dignity of Married Men'. Mental harassment of husbands and their families, domestic violence against them and false dowry cases are not myths.
Director Som Vats has resorted to comic satire to portray unnoticed crime against married men. The law of the land does not protect a man from being harassed and blackmailed by his wife. The anti-dowry laws are skewed towards women.
Vikrant Yadav, actor in the lead role said that the movie goes beyond all this. The constant nagging, suspicion and pressure to be better than a "y" husband keeps the man on his toes and changes his world entirely. It is a tumultuous journey and this is what we have tried to show in the film. Vikrant is a lawyer by profession and an eminent theatre artist.
The concept and the dialogue of the film is written by Puneet Dwivedi. The plot focuses on the married life of six couples and the complications of married life they go through. The rest of the starcast includes Manoj Bakshi , Mamta Rana , Neha Sharma in respective roles. The film duration is around 2hrs 15 min and has been shown a green flag by the central board of film certification. The film will also be dubbed in Bhojpuri and Marathi. The story promises to be a full buffet of romance and comedy and is a perfect family watch on the releasing weekend.
