Chandigarh 08th December:- Maharishi Dayanand Public School organized a Declamation Contest on popularization of Science in collaboration with Science and Technology Department, Chandigarh. About 70 students participated in the competition. This competition was divided into two categories i.e., junior and senior. Through the competition, students told that the present era is of science. Science has done a great service to mankind. Man has been curious to explore mysteries of nature and this led to many discoveries. His incredible lust for knowledge has revolutionised human life. It raised the standard of life. Man is able to invent innumerable ways of making his life comfortable. Every sphere of life has been m also revolutionised by science.
Harsh, Suman, and Sania bagged first, second and third prize in junior category while Pardeep, Bhanu Dutta and Prem Prabha in senior category got first, second and third position respectively.
Principal Vinod Kumar gave away prizes to the winners. He said that the main aim of this competition was to create awareness of importance of science and its uses in daily life.
