AKSIPS-65 Smart School Celebrates Annual Day

Chandigarh 01st December:- AKSIPS-65 Smart School organized its grand Annual day Celebrations with great zeal and enthusiasm at Tagore Theatre. The function titled 'Ek nazar meri taraf' was based on a true story rather an uncommon and unusual story of distressed, abandoned and abused old people left to suffer alone when they actually need company. The thematic dance drama presentation gave an enlightening solution and message to get rid of the painful curse and also created awareness amongst the children and parents about the ill indecency towards senior citizens.

Ms. Harjinder Kaur Ex-Mayor and Chairperson, Punjab Arts Council, Chandigarh presided over the function. The event kick started with the lighting of the Auspicious Lamp by the chief guest and Sidhant Kalra the Administrator of AKSIPS Group of Schools on the recital of shlokas to eliminate darkness and ignorance from our lives.

Jasdeep Kalra, Executive Director of AKSIPS Group of Schools welcomed the august gathering in his welcome address followed by a brief introduction of the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour by the Chairman NEDT Dr. B.N.S. Walia. Principal of AKSIPS-65 Smart School,Mrs. Jasmine Kalra gave an insight into the evening's theme. She highlighted the School's endeavour to select Cultural Activities and Annual Themes aimed at spreading awareness towards social issues. It was followed by the Annual School Report presented by the students.

The protagonist of the play-Tanu does her best in bringing up his only child Sunny and sacrifices everything to fulfill his desire to go abroad. Selfish Sunny even shows his incapability to come for father's cremation. Tanu bears all the hardship alone. Later she is ill-treated by her son and daughter-in-law. Both of them try to get rid of her and finally Tanu meets the workers of an NGO who help her to identify her strengths and also make the children realize their mistake. Tanu decides to become independent and work for the helpless and the poor people of the society.

The finale was a definite turn over. The student narrators posed straight questions to the audiences. They were given a well deserved applause by the enraptured audience. Tanu enlighted the masses by giving a definite solution to overcome such a situation.

The show culminated highlighting the need of the hour to inculcate good moral values amongst children and respect the elderly people.
