Bajwa Challenges Sukhbir to Prove Congress Involvement or Quit Politics

By 121 News

Chandigarh 13th November:- The Punjab Congress President Partap Singh Bajwa today challenged the Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal to prove the involvement of the Congress in the November 10th Sarbat Khalsa congregation or quit politics.

Partap Singh Bajwa said that the Deputy Chief Minister is not expected to level false and sweeping allegations but should instead come out with proof demonstrating Congress involvement. Earlier you had to bite the dust when you had announced at a news conference that the police had cracked the case of sacrilege with the arrest of the two brothers Rupinder Singh and Jaswinder Singh and went on to allege foreign involvement to cover up for your own incompetency. However, both the brothers were subsequently released for lack of evidence and your foreign hand theory was debunked. You are again playing the same trick to divert public attention from your mis-governance especially when it is you and your family that is responsible for the rapidly deteriorating state of affairs in Punjab. Partap Singh Bajwa said that the reality with Sukhbir Badal is that he is synonymous with rampant corruption, non-governance and mafia rule. You and your family have a stranglehold on almost every form of economic activity in Punjab and the ironical aspect is that their has been an exponential expansion of your business empire in the past 9 years while the state has been slipping into a deeper debt crisis with every passing day.

He said that the public anger was reflective when road blockades were prevalent in all parts of Punjab and prior to that the farmers had staged dharnas on the rail tracks for over a week. The people are seething with anger against the State government and you are now trying to blame the Congress to divert public attention and are attempting to cover up for your own acts of commission and omission. He reminded the Deputy Chief Minister that Senior Leaders of the Congress party have laid their lives to restore peace and normalcy in the State at a time when Akali Dal Leaders were frightened to even leave the confines of their homes. Moreover, history bears testimony to the fact that the Akali Dal Leaders in general and Parkash Singh Badal in particular had actively fomenting trouble in the 80's and the early 90's and were hand in glove with radical and fundamentalist forces that were determined to destabilize the State.

Partap Singh Bajwa challenged Sukhbir Badal to visit the villages and engage with the public in the same manner in which Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi had undertaken and only then he will realize the gravity of situation.
