61st National School Games:DPI Declares National School Games Open

Chandigarh 08^th October:- The 61^ST National school games organised by Education Department, Chandigarh Administration,commenced today with the opening ceremony held at Govt Model Sr. Secondary School, TM Sector-26, Chandigarh. Rubinderjit Singh Brar, Director Public Instructions (School) was the chief guest on the occasion. The game will be played in the discipline of Cricket Under-19 girls. Around 300 players and officials will participate in this 5 day meet. Teams from 16 states and Union Territories will play from 8^th to 12^th October 2015.

Director Public Instructions (School) R. S. Brar congratulated the players for competing and representing their state. He wished them to put in their best and also wished team good luck while declaring the National School Games open. An oath was taken by all the players to play the game in the true spirit of sportsmanship. All the officers of Education Department were also present on the occasion.
