Chandigarh 09th September:- PTU conducted a one day workshop on Cloud Computing, with live practical sessions, using IBM Bluemix at Indo Global Colleges by IBM Bangalore. Around 300 faculty and students from PTU affiliated colleges participated in the workshop. Mani Madhukar, Senior Manager & Academic Head IBM Bangalore was the resource person.
While addressing the students Academic Head Madhukar laid stress on the shortage of resources. Focusing on the technological education, he said that there should be a close association between industry and academia. Nowadays it is imperative for the students to have the latest knowledge about the activities of the industry. He streamlined the concept of cloud computing to the audience and also provided a hands on knowledge about the IBM Bluemix, which is an open-standard, cloud-based platform for building, managing, and running apps of all types, such as web, mobile, big data, and smart devices
While Encouraging the student Chairma Sukhdev Kumar Singla Said that there is ample requirement of professionals in cloud computing so students should not only stress on theoretic but practical as well informative learning as well so that they can to secure best jobs for themselves in future.
