PGI Starts Anti-Dengue Drive in Sector 25:To Identify Breeding Sites of Larvae of Mosquito

Chandigarh 25th September:- In view of increasing dengue cases in Chandigarh, Public health dispensary run by department of Community Medicine, PGI started a anti-dengue drive in sector 25 to identify breeding sites of larvae of aides mosquito, the bite of which causes dengue. In this drive, Dr Abu Bashar, Junior Resident, Department of Community and kamal Behl, Staff, PHD-25 gone house to house and checked coolers, tyres, overhead tanks and other water holding containers for presence of larvae and asked the residents to clean them regularly  and issued warning to those whose coolers have positive breeding of the mosquito. A total of 850 houses and Jhuggis of sector -25 were checked in this drive.
