Chandigarh 07th September:- Oxford University Press, the world's largest university press today launched 'Oxford Achiever, a web-based learning and assessment platform, which to begin with will help develop English language skills for primary and secondary school students. Oxford Achiever is the first paid digital solution by OUP in India, and is being launched in Chandigarh after a successful launch in Hyderabad last month. Oxford Achiever has been designed to provide an individualized and self-paced learning path to students. Structured into 36 levels, covering all key learning objectives in primary and middle-school English, Oxford Achiever focuses on the following key areas of listening, speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar. On this occasion over 50 school principals from Chandigarh and nearby cities, and members of the Oxford University Press India senior management team were also present.
Speaking at the event Ranjan Kaul,Managing Director, Oxford University Press India said that he is indeed proud that we are launching Oxford Achiever, which is testimony to OUP's continuous commitment to working with schools for improved learning outcomes. Oxford Achiever meets the requirement of schools for continuous assessment of English language skills as also provides the necessary diagnostics for self-paced learning. It is one of OUP India's key digital innovations to be launched this year, which will use technology and are far more learner-centric. Ranjan Kaul said that Oxford Achiever has been successfully pilot-tested by OUP India in schools at Delhi-NCR, Agra, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Kochi and Mumbai. The feedback from students and teachers has been very positive.
He added that OUP India is fast building a full suite of digital and assessment products and services. There are more digital products and 'app' launches planned for later part of this financial year – including the OUP Hindi-English dictionary and atlas 'app'.
