MCM Organizes ‘Eureka Fest 2015’

Chandigarh 24^th September:- The Department of Physics, MCM DAV College for Women, Chandigarh organized DBT sponsored 'Eureka Fest 2015', an event suffused with infotaining activities. The Chief Guest was Prof. A.K. Ganguli, Director, INST, Mohali. Prof. Ganguli was all praises for the zealous participation of the students and motivated them to focus on research based pragmatic learning. He enlightened them about the most au courant fields in Physics and encouraged them to nurture the physicist in themselves.

An overwhelming number of students participated in various competitions that were a part of this event such as Extempore competition, PowerPoint Presentation, Debate, Quiz, Poster Presentation, Project Making, Collage Making, Essay writing and a plethora of cultural performances. Posters on the topic 'Physics of Blood flow', Collages on 'Experimental set ups', Thought provoking debates on the topic 'Nuclear Energy Sources' and insightful essays on 'from music to quantum physics' mesmerized the audience. The winners of these contests were rewarded with trophies and certificates.

Applauding the endeavour, the Principal of MCM, Ms. Neena Dhawan said that such diligent platforms encourage all round development in students and equip them for diverse challenges of professional life.
