Chandigarh 23rd September:- In view of the ongoing manifestation of dengue fever and taking measures for its prevention in the coming days, Danish Ashraf, IAS, Sub Divisional Magistrate (East)-cum-Additional Commissioner, Municipal Corporation (East), U.T, Chandigarh along with anti-malaria team has inspected inter alia CTU workshop, Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh. Around 1000 condemn tyres were found lying unattended in the open area which were filled up with rainy water. The tyres were got emptied immediately and asked to put under the shed or covered with tirpal. The anti-malaria team has spread the oil in the tyres for killing of larvae and fogging also got done there of Danish Ashraf, IAS, SDM(E) has also appealed to people to take utmost precautions by emptying stagnant water from, Coolers, trash cans, flower pots, water kept for birds in mud pots, to prevent mosquito bites- use mosquito repellants, like odomos, coils, sprays, mosquito net for small children and wear full pants and full sleeves clothes. This drive will be carried out regularly.
