Chandigarh 03rd September:- The Fresher day party marked as a memorable day of every fresher at Chandigarh Group of Colleges Jhanjeri campus. The very purpose of Fresher's Day party was to welcome newcomers in a friendly atmosphere and avoid social evils, to encourage their creative impulses and to boost their confidence. It is the day where seniors and juniors finally bond and unite to celebrate being part of the college. The dress code for the Fresher's day was 'Dress your Best'. The auspicious day began with the lighting of the lamp and garlanding of Goddess Saraswati by the chief guest Mohali S S P Gurpreet Singh Bhullar . Chief Guest SSP Bhullar while speaking at the moment urged students to make use of the social media and the latest technology for a good cause.
Later, the stage was set for fresher's to showcase their talent and compete for the Mr & Miss. Fresher's Crown. The ceremony saw many dazzling performances by both seniors and juniors alike from energetic dance numbers that made the day more charming. Modeling rounds were there, where juniors suppressed their feelings and introduced themselves. Prabhsimran Kaur & Gouravjot Singh Selected as Mister & Miss fresher.
Chairman Satnam Singh Sandhu & President Rachpal Singh Dhaliwal encouraged the students while distributing prizes among the winners of the contest Fresher's Day party. They said at the moment that this introduction will help to allay fears among juniors and develop friendship among the seniors and juniors. According to them it was the day of love, affection, trust and above all the bond of togetherness and belongingness.
