Pakistani Exhibitors Showcase Traditional Wedding Couture at ‘Nikaah’

Chandigarh 02^nd July:- Dr. Sukhchain Singh Gill, SSP, Chandigarh,today inagurated 'Nikaah' – A Wedding & Lifestyle Exhibition. The exhibition will be on till 5^th August at Himachal Bhawan, Sec 28, Chandigarh. 'Nikaah' as the name suggests is presenting an enticing collection of Wedding Haute Couture like Shararas, Gararas, Bridal Wear, Salwar Kameez, Indian Bridal Wear, Jewellery, Passas, Haar's, Stones, Pakistani Juttis,  Sherwani's, Indian Footwear etc. The exhibition features as many as 50 fashion designers out of which over a dozen are from Pakistan. The prominent ones among others from Pakistan are Meer Designers, Laila's Art, Mars Hoor Gallery, Reena's by Mavraz, Shahzad Traders, Mariyam Collection, Zafar Sons, Hamil,Linon Cotton and Urooj.

According to Ms. Neha Amit Singla, Director, A Million Dollar Affair that as the marriage season has started we wanted to provide an opportunity to Wedding Shoppers to purchase the best bridal attires under one roof. We have invited designers from Pakistan and the Exhibition is giving both designers from India and Pakistan a chance to interact with one another to get a feel 'what is in' during the bridal season in the two neighbouring countries. The customer is the one who will benefit the most as he or she will be able to lay hands on the best wedding products & services that not just India but also Pakistan has to offer.

Shahnaz Malik, who has coordinated the arrangements of travel of the Pakistani Exhibitors at 'Nikaah said that "Exchange of people from the fashion industry and artistes from all walks of life; is a very good way to build relations; between our two countries. The common people in Pakistan by and large want peace and trade with India; it is only political persons who for their narrow selfish interests; create problems in ties between us.

There are an array of high end Indian Designers too who are exhibiting their designer wear and other wedding related products at 'Nikaah'.Elegance Jewel's by Designer Alka brings imitation jewellery, Indian Fashionara has brought gorgeous fabrics, dazzling embroidery and unique designs. Milan Celebrations Studio a Professionally managed designing and printing company with specialization in wedding invitations and matching sweet boxes is also there. The idea is to provide all Wedding shopping products and services on one platform.
