Chandigarh 02nd July:- With a view to provide students with an opportunity to take a personal independent tour of India and enhance their learning thereby keeping in mind the aim of Social Studies Saupin's School, Mohali held its Annual Social Studies Exhibition on the theme of " Incredible India". The aim of the show was to make students aware of the geography, climate, politics, history, industries and culture of India. The students of classes VI, VII and VIII participated and showcased their creative talent.
The models and charts exhibited by students reflected their clear understanding about the different states of India. The exhibition was open to the parents who were quite impressed to see the creativity and hard work of the Social Studies Department. Creativity of the students was the hallmark of the exhibition. The students showed their in-depth knowledge as they spoke about their models and explained about the history, economy, government, monuments, religious beliefs, food, festivals, temples, dances, languages and important cities of India. Dresses, festvals and cuisines of different states were the centre of attraction for all the visitors.Puppet show of Rajsathan was the iconic feature of the show.
The models were accompanied with their illustrations and power point presentations to give elaborate details to the visitors. Those who witnessed the exhibition were thoroughly impressed. It was an opportunity for the students to be a part of the constructive venture and a platform for learning through research and activity.
