Chandigarh 13th July:- The management of Lakshya organized its Annual Valedictory function for conferring recognition to those students who had excelled in various prestigious entrance examinations like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, PPMET, AIIMS, NTSE, KVPY and Olympiads, at the Silver Oaks Palace in Patiala on Sunday. Maharani Preneet Kaur Ji, MLA Patiala and Ex-MoS, Ministry of External Affairs, Govt of India, was the Chief Guest of the evening while Dr. Prakash Gopalan, Director of Thapar University, was the Guest of Honour for the occasion.
The achievers of 2015 were presented with trophies to applaud their outstanding effort in various examinations. Himanshu Gupta, AIR-7 in JEE Advanced and Oshin Bhatia, AIR-4 in AIIMS were awarded with a Cash Prize of Rs. 5 lac each for their outstanding achievement and becoming the Toppers of the Region. Arshdeep Singh, Kashish Bansal, Roopanjit Singh, Rahul Bansal and Divyank Mittal were the other Toppers who received Cash Awards at the event. More than 500 students were awarded which included 100 JEE-Advanced Selections, 18 AIIMS Selections, 100 students with 10 CGPA in 10th Boards, 32 students securing above 95% in 12th Boards, 108 PPMET Selections, 225 JEE Advanced Qualified Students, 30 KVPY Scholars and 25 NTSE Scholars.
Saahil Harjai Executive Director of Lakshya said that the incredible effort of Lakshya students across all streams and the highest Ranks achieved in North India for second year in a row, is proof of the fact that Lakshya is North India's leading Institute for Competitive Examinations. He added that diligent hard work with right orientation is necessary ingredient for a rank in the prestigious Medical College AIIMS-Delhi.", said the parents of Oshin Bhatia and thanked the entire team of Lakshya for the feat achieved by their son. Oshin Bhatia is currently representing India at the International Biology Olympiad being held at Denmark, another feat which he achieved during his studies at Lakshya.
The event was celebrated with great pomp and show with brilliant singing and dance performances.
