Chandigarh 21st July:- CRB Public School, Sector-7 B, Chandigarh celebrated "Green Day" today in the school premises. All the children looked attractive draped in their green colored attires. Their teachers made them aware of the need of protecting their environment and the role they could play to do so. Besides an awareness campaign they planted saplings and voiced the need to "Plant Trees, Save Environment".
The Principal Mrs. Sangeeta Mittal in her speech highlighted the importance of celebrating "Green Day" as it not only attached the child to its environment but also taught him/her to keep it green and clean. She also stressed on avoiding junk food and consuming more and more of green vegetables as it would help them to remain healthy and lay the foundation of a progressive nation.
