Chandigarh 06th June:- Thalassaemic Children Welfare Association PGI Chandigarh organized its 146th blood donation camp today at the Zakir Hall of the PGI. The camp was inaugurated by Smt Neelam Sikka, Assistant General Manager, State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, Chandigarh. In this camp 285 units of blood were collected.
Smt Neelam Sikka, distributed mementos to the blood donors and admired them for participating and contributing towards this noble cause. She also lauded the efforts of the association for organizing and promoting voluntary blood donation camps during the past two decades during the summer months to supplement the efforts of the Blood Bank of PGI. This camp was organized in collaboration with Department of Transfusion Medicine, PGI, Chandigarh under the supervision of Prof. Neelam Marwaha, Head, Department of Transufsion Medicine, PGI, Chandigarh.
