Dr Shubhrangshu Das Gupta said that engineering is equivalent to applied physics and all those engineers who want to excel in their field need to not only understand but also need to research deep into the applications of Physics.

Dr K S Vishvanathan from IISER, Mohali said that it is the processes in lab that becomes industrial processes. He cited the examples of production of Indigo, Mercury, Nylon, Laminated Glass, Polyester and many other products that are being manufactured by the industry today giving employment to millions of engineers.
