PGI Extends Online registration Five More Departments

Chandigarh 13^th April:-PGI has extended online registration facility to five more departments, namely Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT and Urology on 13th April, 2015. Online registration facility is already available in Ophthalmology (Advanced Eye Centre), Dermatology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Drug De-addiction & Training Centre and Oral Health Sciences Centre. This user friendly system is available on the Institute website (http://pgimer.edu.in) for the first time visitors to PGIMER. Patients can register themselves for a visit to the above mentioned departments on a chosen date in the next one week. After filling in a small amount of information, a Pre-Registration number is sent to their registered Mobile Number and E-mail ID. By presenting this number at the special pre-registration counter in above departments on the chosen day, an OPD card with a unique and permanent patient CR number will be generated within a minute. This permanent CR number will be used by the patient for all subsequent visits to these OPDs and even for rest of OPDs in the hospital. If the patient does not come to the OPD on the chosen day, they will have to re-register on the web. Initially, this facility is available to limited number of patients per day.
