Shemrock Bids Farewell to Passing out students

Mohali 06th February:- The students of Shemrock Senior Secondary School, Mohali arranged a fantastic and superb Farewell Party function for the outgoing students of 10+2 in the school's Campus. Cultural items were presented on this occasion and the event started with the Sabad in the praise of God. The farewell party titled  ADIOS AMIGOS was hosted by the students of class 11 who are living in the the Armed Forces Preparatory Institute.The function was graced by Chairman J.S.Bajwa and Principal Air Commodore SK Sharma . Amidst cheer and applause were ushered into the pandal and rose petals were showered on them. The function began with the performance of Deepshikha ceremony as a mark of respect for the Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of learning, which was followed by an entertainment programme comprising of a medley of songs by the students which set the mood of the party. A humorous short skit was also presented by the students. Later there was a round of fun games including Musical Chairs and Pehchaano Mai Kaun which were much liked.

Principal Air Commodore SK Sharma congratulated the outgoing students and impressed upon them the need of hard work, commitment, discipline, punctuality, foresight and said that quest for knowledge is a great boon in every sector and will remain as asset for the young managers oftomorrow. He urged the students to work assiduously to carve out their careers and climb the ladder of success to the greater heights of achievements. He said that patience, consistency, meticulous planning and farsightedness can take any young person to the excellent road of success.

The cultural programme comprising skits, mono-acting and songs was interspersed with delightful modern and traditional dances. The comedy highlighted the role of professionally educated people in the modern day society. One minute games were arranged to fill these moments with mirth and laughter. All the students were felicitated with souvenirs and gifts.
