Quest Group organize Industrial visit for Engineering Students

Mohali 12^th February:- Quest Group of Institutions organized an Industrial visit for Engineering Students to Batching plant of Ultratech Ready-mix Cement Plant.  It was an Eye opening and practical experience for students, in which they experience about the complete working of the plant right from the mixing of the ingredients to the final production of the concrete being transported in transit mixers.

Students were firstly given presentation by Er. Aman Sehgal In charge QC about the history of Aditya Birla Group who is the owner of this plant and cements, their types, their properties etc. Further they were told about the various types of concretes and their properties. Next ER. Parmod Kumar (Plant Head) explained about the working of the batching plant and the safety precautions to be taken during the visit of the plant. Er. Parmod kumar then explained the working of the plant in plant itself. The plant was operational and concrete was being produced.

While speaking at this occasion Chairman D S Sekhon said that through these visit students from various streams could assess their industry readiness and check calibrate of their aspirations meter. Such visits also enables the students to understand appreciate working opportunities & the challenges associated with it.
