PGI Mourns Haematology Founder's Death :Hold Condolence Meeting

Chandigarh 12^th February:- To pay homage to the departed soul of Prof. Kshitish Chandra Das (Dr K C Das),  a condolence meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Amod Gupta, Acting Director PGI today.  Prof. Kshitish Chandra Das passed away on 11^th February due to massive cardiac arrest.  Rich tributes were paid by Prof. Amod Gupta, and Prof. Neelam Varma, Head, Department of Haematology PGI .  Prof. Savita Malhotra, Dean PGI, many Heads of Departments, faculty members, the administrative staff and the resident doctors joined to mourn his death.  Prof. Das will always be remembered for his seminal contributions in the field of hematology research. He has taught hematology to numerous doctors over the decades, and inspired so many of them to practice hematology.
