Chandigarh 20th December:- Startup Accelerator Chamber of Commerce (SACC) inked a memorandum of understanding with the AIESEC here today.
Manipal Dhariwal, President of SACC informed that AIESEC is a global youth network impacting the world through leadership development experiences and their initiative to engage with SACC is in sync with our own mission to empower youth by stimulating their entrepreneurship urge. Manipal Dhariwal added that AIESEC would have access to SACC network to provide young boys and girls from India and abroad to intern with established companies and startup for an enriching experience. He further said that SACC would be mentoring the AIESEC members participating in their Youth Global Entrepreneurial programme, and would be able to use the newest coworking space setup by SACC in Mohali, Startup in a Box, for organizing any monthly meeting or interaction. Our effort is to make this region a startup capital of the country by empowering youth through entrepreneurship initiatives, and developing an ecosystem where ideas can be transformed into socially-relevant business enterprise. SACC is a unique entity engaged in establishing an entrepreneurial ecosystem for which it organizes Startup Weekends in various educational institutions, mentors and supports the emerging ideas, provides incubation facilities in Mohali and networks them to team of mentors, investors, and financial institutions.
AIESEC founded in 1948 is a youth led organization that works in over 113 countries helping fresh graduates and young people to travel to other countries and work as volunteers or interns.
