MP Kirron Kher Launches Transports Association Directory and Website

Chandigarh 20th November:- Local MP Kirron Kher launched the directory and website of Chandigarh Transport Association (regd), here today.  The directory meant for the members of association has been produced by Sri Sai Media. Launch ceremony, held in hotel Aroma in sector-22,Chandigarh,was attended by the Chandigarh BJP president Sanjay Tondon,the COO of Sri Sai Media Rakesh Kumar Sharma,Chief Editor Satya Swadesh Khushal Lali,Association  President K.K.Abrol and many more.

Ms.Kher, while addressing those present in the ceremony, averred that the transport sector had great contribution in taking toward the development and the economy of the country.  The BJP had always worked for the development of the transport sector. During former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's rule roads were laid and flyovers constructed.  It ushered in traffic control where as for road accidents were minimized.

The MP further said the traffic rules of the British rule were in vogue till now, but now the govt had come with the road transport safety bill 2014. It would improve the transport rules and the traffic system.  After the bill was passed, anyone helping those injured in mishap would not be questioned by the police.  She asked the transporters not to overload the vehicals,ply trucks with overstanded iron rods,and also,fix reflectors and obey  traffic rules.

Chandigarh BJP president Sanjay Tondon congratulated the Association for bringing out the directory and opined that this would be the big relief to the people. Without the transport sector's assistance, the nation could not move forword. BJP always worked in the interest of the people, proof of which was that the Chandigarh administration lowered the vat on diesel from 12.68 to 9.74 percent.

Vineet Joshi, assistant advisor to the Punjab govt and K.K.Abrol also addressed the audience. Abrol brought the problem of Association and those of the truck drivers to the notice of MP. On this occasion Association's  Senior Vice President Naresh Kaushik , Vice President Surjant Singh, Secretary BL Sharma, Joint Secretary Sanjeev Dewaan Cuckoo, Press Secretary RP Sharma, Treasurer MS Jakhar,Guljar Singh Gill, Sukhbir Singh, Jatinder Gupta, Surjit Singh, Gurdial Bhaseen, Karnail Singh and others were also present.
