Delegation apprised DPI regarding highhandedness of School managements

Chandigarh 13th November:- To make  aware about the exploitation facing by the parents from the school management in lieu of the name of uniform, books, stationary and school bags etc.  A delegation lead by Satinder Singh councilor, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh met with Kamlesh Kumar, HCS, DPI Schools and submitted a memorandum.

While giving more detail about the meeting with DPI, Municipal Corporation councilor Satinder Singh, said that the delegation regretted in their memorandum that the parents have been exploited by the school management and apprised the DPI schools about the high handedness of the school managements that they are mentioning the name of particular shops for purchasing the study material and school bags, uniforms etc. and parents are compelled to purchased the items from the particular shops, because the material is not available in other shops in the market. He added that the delegation asked the DPI to stop the highhandedness of the school management immediately and policy regarding the stationary items, uniforms and school bags be framed to avoid the exploitation of the parents specifically economical weaker section of the city. The delegation also demanded that the rate list of books along with publication and sample of uniform should be stick on the notice board and the children should not be compelled to purchase from any particular shop.
