Village Panchayats to execute development works without any Groupism: Ramoowalia

Chandigarh 15th October:- Village Panchayats should execute the development works without any Groupism & efficient utilization of Govt. grants should be ensured. This was stated by Ex- Union minister & Halqa incharge SAS Nagar Balwant Singh Ramoowalia along with Chairperson District Planning Committee Bibi Amanjot Kaur Ramoowalia, while addressing the gathering after laying the foundation stone for various development works worth Rs. 1 crore 90 lacs at village Balongi.

Balwant Singh Ramoowalia said that people at village Balongi was always kept a side in terms of development works by the congress led Govt., but now taking a keen interest for the development works at here, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has approved a financial grant of Rs. 90 lacs which will be helpful to execute the works. He said that BJP+SAD govt. is taking a keen interest for making Punjab as a leading state in terms of Education, Health & overall development. He said that the present govt. is providing sufficient grant for the various development works to be carried out in the villages of the Punjab state. This grant is being provided without any partiality & the works are being executed without any groupism. He said that with the efforts of govt. in next coming 2 years there will be a complete turnout of the villages in Punjab state. Balwant Singh Ramoowalia appealed the general public to fight against drug menace & to come forward against the other social evils and anti social elements, which are making our society weaker & leaner. He said to generate awareness about the unnecessary expenses in weddings, a committee comprising of 15 members to be formed, who will encourage the people to fight against the dowry system.


During this, Chairperson District Planning Committee Bibi Amanjot Kaur Ramoowalia said that at village Balongi various development works will be conducted which will include renovation of internal roads, outer periphery, sewerage laying & providing drinking water facility. All these works will be got completed in stipulated time. Explaining in detail she informed that Rs. 52 lacs 31 thousand will be spent for providing approach road from Gurudwara Sahib to Main Road and Rs. 29 lacs 163 thousand will be spent for internal approach roads. Bibi Amanjot kaur Ramoowalia during this specially thanked the Chief Minister Sh. Parkash Singh Badal for the grants provided for the development works.
