PGI Celebrates World Mental Health Day

Chandigarh 11th October:- The World Mental Health Day was celebrated at National Institute of Nursing Education (N.I.N.E.), PGI, Chandigarh by the nursing students and faculty members. On this occasion a role play and health talk was done on the theme "Living with Schizophrenia" in community area of Dhanas Chandigarh(UT), students emphasized on the myths, misconceptions related to schizophrenia and create awareness regarding mental health services for treatment. A debate was conducted in N.I.N.E. on the topic Mental Health in today's scenario: possible or not possible. Students actively participated in the debate. A short video on schizophrenia was also shown to create awareness among all nursing students. Dr. Sandhya Ghai, Principal, N.I.N.E. presided over the function, she stressed on the importance of positive mental health for positive progress among the nursing students community.
